This spinning reel will hold a capacity of 140 yards of 8 lb. mono fishing line. or 200 yards of 4 lb. fishing line. This reel is a nice step in-between our larger 2 and the very slim #1 reel. Pro Line Tip: Recommended Float Fishing Main Line (4 lb. line offers optimal strength and durability to tackle most all fish while float fishing. Fighting properly on a longer rod with good touch, fish to 15 lb. can be landed using a landing net. Lifting of the fish out of the water is avoided to make sure line isn't too stressed. Most weight of a caught fish remains in the water.
