Pro Float Connector – Silicone Swivel Connector
Slip Float/Fixed Float Bobber Snap Swivel
Shallow Water / Dock Shooting / Pro Fixed Float Connector
3 – Pack of Pro Float Connectors – Silicone Swivel Connector Quick Snap
Advantages of the Float Connector
Anglers can change their favorite floats using this Pro way to attach your float. The cradle on the float rest allows for the float to lay more naturally. The position of the float allows for a much better cast and less wobble on take-off.
Create a fixed float presentation and fix your bait to a depth for all-day fishing. Useful for connecting floats at that perfect depth. Also allows the angler to increase the size of their float or bobber by quickly snapping or unsnapping the float and hooking up another. Useful when conditions change as angler can use a bigger float in the wind, longer float for more distance or change to a smaller float for a more sensitive attack. There are some times when changing the float is needed and the Pro Float Connectors – Silicone Swivel Connector makes changing your bobber easy and fast. No re-rigging or retying needed!
Float rods are generally longer. We use the 9′ Gapen Pro Float Rod or the Gapen 10′ Pro Float Rod. Casting with these rods allows the angler to fish deeper without having to switch to a slip bobber. This is a big advantage as the fixed float delivers a better presentation and allows for awesome slow drops. You can customize the shot setup in man more ways than a slip bobber. This will catch you more fish than a slip bobber.
Beat the Wind & Waves!
The fixed float allows you to get all your line beneath the water. Medium tall floats burry the line deep under the current of the wind. Dominate the fishing by dipping your rod tip under water and giving 6 or 7 quick cranks. This places ALL the line under the waves and wind. Other bobbers will blow away. Slip bobbers have line out the top. A huge disadvantage vs. fixed floats. Using the feather cast at float entry to water and dipping the rod tip – there is no better way to present baits. Moving the split shot at different lengths will create natural drops and can slow or speed up the bait entering the fish’s zone. This can not be done with a slip bobber stack!
In competitions like the World Championships of fishing – anglers will use very long rods to avoid fishing slip bobber style. Fixed bobber fishing offers much better bite communication with small and medium floats. Use a tall float to maximize the communication from the hook to float.
Snap Protects Your Floats During Transit
A great way to protect your balsa and delicate floats is to unsnap them and transport them in a box or case. NEVER TRANSPORT FLOATS ON THE ROD or POLE. Instead, unclip the float and pack floats away. The Pro Float Connectors – Silicone Swivel Connector’s swivel will save you money right from the start by protecting your nice fishing floats. Disconnect them and store them when not in use, when traveling or putting rods in the car and save your floats.
Great Fixed Float Setup Using Float Connectors
To fish with a slip float, simply tie on your knot stop, slide it up the line and then add the Quick Snap Float Swivel Quick Connector ™- no bead needed! Add on your split shot to balance the float and you are ready to fish.
Fixed Float Fishing
For a fixed float, simply add a split shot, moisten the line, and slip the split shot up to depth. Slide on a Quick Snap™ and then slide another split shot on to hold the Quick Snap™ (and float) in place. For long casts use two split shot, then the Quick Snap™. Now balance the float out with shot and you are ready to fish. We recommend using only quality Anchor Split Shot or Super Deux Split Shot.
Fishing Spawning Beds with the Silicone Swivel Connector
By connecting your float with this pro connector, you can spread the split shot out allowing for less of a splash. This is sometimes a more natural approach to shallow water fishing. Big split shot and big floats can make a giant crash in the water, spooking your fish. Spread your shot out one third of the way from the float to the hook and then place the tiniest shot above the leader or swivel – this setup will allow for a natural splash into shallow water. Pro float fishing tip – feather the line with your hand in front of the reel just before the float hits the water. This will stretch your line out. The hook bait will enter with the line stretched out and will give you better signals, better setup for hooking fish fast!
